Hickory Grove 5

Women's Fellowship is open to any lady attending Hickory
Grove Church. Visitors are always welcome. We meet the first
Wednesday of the month, usually at 7:00 p.m., at one of the
ladies' homes or at the church. We try to have special programs
4 times a year. We do not meet the months of July and August.
Our purpose is mostly outreach programs. Some of our
activities are Sunshine Boxes for the sick, monthly cards sent to
sick and shut-ins, carry-in meals for those who need help due to
a health problem, wedding showers for those in church who
have just been married and baby showers. We support the food
pantries, Emmaus Missions and any other worthwhile projects
that are given to us.
In recent years we have held a Women's Retreat in March
where we have a luncheon in between guest speakers. This has
been a lot of fun and well attended by women of the church as
well as other women in the community.
Currently the third Saturday in October is our fall bazaar and
supper. This is our money making project for the year to
support most of our outreach programs. Craft projects can be
made individually and donated to the bazaar or you can
participate in the weekly craft meetings held prior to the bazaar
and enjoy the fellowship of working in a group setting on
different craft projects.
We enjoy good Christian Fellowship with those who attend the
meetings and special programs.
